Meet The Team

Leadership is important in any organisation and City Church is no different. We're privileged to have a team of passionate, hardworking leaders who love Jesus. Day to day our Pastoral Team look after the running of the church, while we have a group of Elders who help oversee the direction and vision of the church.

Michael Williams
Senior Minister

Michael is originally from the Rhondda Valleys where he met his wife Jill, and together they have two sons Rhys and Joseff. Michael’s heart is for the local church, but it it goes beyond the four walls of City Church. He is passionate to see the love of Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit touch the city of Swansea, the nation of Wales, and the UK. Michael leads the team and is responsible for the vision and its implementation throughout all departments.

Naomi Nelson
Children’s Pastor

Although born in Trinidad & Tobago, Naomi grew up as an ‘Essex girl’ from the age of six. A Regents Theological College graduate, Naomi became Children’s Pastor at City Church in August 2017.
Naomi is passionate about worshipping God through song and giving children an opportunity to hear, understand and accept the Gospel of Jesus Christ. When she’s not working, Naomi loves to dance, to travel and to experience the beauty and diversity of culture.

Dustin Rubio
Youth & Young Adults Pastor

Dustin is a proud American who hails from Texas originally. Although his roots are in the USA, Dustin has embraced the Welsh way of life and even married a Welsh lady called Carys! Dustin and Carys have two kids, Brayden and Mylah. In his spare time Dustin likes to podcast, create music and of course chill with his family. Dustin looks after our 11-18 year olds in the church and also currently oversees our Young Adults ministry.

Mark is a Swansea lad through and through. Passionate about all things evangelism, Mark is always looking to reach people for Jesus in which ever way possible! A keen fitness enthusiast, Mark likes running and hitting the gym, but when he’s not training he loves spending time with his friends, going to the cinema and eating out.

Our Mission

It's our desire to be a church of significance and influence, that will make an impact on Swansea, Wales and the Nations.

we are seeking to be a church…

  • that moves in the power of the holy spirit

  • that ministers to every age group

  • that ensures the pastoral care & spiritual development of its members

  • that ministers in various parts of the world

  • that is committed to the care of those in need

  • that brings hope to the city

  • in which every member seeks to play their part

We believe Jesus came to earth to make it possible for us to have a personal relationship with the God of the universe. This is why City Church exists - to help ordinary people discover and develop a relationship with God through Jesus. We guarantee it is the best decision you could ever make.

The wonderful thing about our relationship with God is that it can be enhanced when expressed as part of a community. Faith in Jesus is not designed to be private - personal yes, but not private - that is why God created the church! We believe that together we can make a real difference in the world.

Everything we do is done for God. As individuals and as His Church, our lives are lived in response to God's love for us. When we're at our lowest, our worst, or in our greatest need, God moves towards us time and time again - not with judgement or anger - but with compassion, generosity and love.

Our Beliefs

City Church is part of the Elim Pentecostal Movement and what we believe is formed around its Foundational Truths. The Foundational Truths explain our theology and are a statement of faith - they are powerful, non-negotiable and guide all we say and do.

Loving Jesus. Loving Our City. Loving Our Nation.
